DeCaire continues impressive start with Low Country Motorsports with third consecutive podium at Anderson Motor Speedway.
LAND O’ LAKES, FL (August 24th, 2026) – TJ DeCaire and Low Country Motorsports continued their strong run of form Saturday night at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina, earning a third-place finish and extending their streak to three consecutive podiums in three CARS Tour Pro Late Model starts together.
Coming off a runner-up finish at North Wilkesboro Speedway and a flag-to-flag victory at Hickory Motor Speedway, DeCaire arrived at Anderson with a new look and support from Race City Steel, looking to carry that momentum into his first event since being announced as the full-time driver for Low Country Motorsports for the remainder of the 2026 CARS Tour season.
DeCaire showed speed throughout the weekend, working with the Low Country Motorsports team during practice to develop the No. 1 Pro Late Model on older tires in preparation for the race. Challenging track conditions during qualifying presented a different test, but DeCaire was still able to secure the outside front-row starting position with a second-place qualifying effort.
At the drop of the green flag, DeCaire settled into second and focused on conserving his tires ahead of the first competition caution. He maintained the runner-up position through approximately the first half of the race before relinquishing the spot following a restart. With track position proving critical throughout the event, DeCaire ultimately brought the No. 1 home in third to secure another podium finish and a valuable points night for Low Country Motorsports.
“Anderson went really well overall,” said DeCaire. “Practice went great, and we spent a lot of time on older tires dialing the car in and getting it where we wanted it for the race. Qualifying threw everyone a bit of a curveball with how greasy the track was, but we were still able to qualify second. Once the green flag dropped, I focused on riding and saving tires for the first competition [caution] yellow. After that, we just got a little too free, and track position was a big deal all weekend. All in all, it was still a good points day and another opportunity to keep building our notebook.”
The Anderson result continues an impressive stretch for DeCaire and Low Country Motorsports. Through their first three CARS Tour Pro Late Model starts together, the pairing has finished second at North Wilkesboro, first at Hickory and third at Anderson, giving DeCaire an average finish of 2.0.
More importantly, the consistency has helped Low Country Motorsports maintain its position atop the CARS Tour Pro Late Model owners’ championship standings as the season enters its final stretch.
“It’s cool to be consistently fast everywhere we go, no matter what type of track it is,” said DeCaire. “That consistency leads to good points days and puts us in a good position as we work toward the owners’ championship at the end of the year.”
That sustained level of performance has been supported by the developing relationship between DeCaire, Low Country Motorsports and Hamke Racecars. Hamke Racecars owner Cody Glick has worked closely with DeCaire throughout the team’s recent CARS Tour events, with DeCaire’s communication and feedback behind the wheel helping the group continue to refine its racecars from weekend to weekend.
“It’s been great working with TJ through the races we’ve run together with Low Country,” said Glick. “He does a really good job of communicating what he’s feeling in the car and giving detailed feedback, which helps me make better decisions on my end and allows us to keep improving throughout a weekend. To have three podium finishes in our first three races together says a lot about the speed and consistency we’ve been able to build. We’re happy to come away from Anderson with another podium, but we’re competitors — we’re always looking for more. I think there’s still a lot of potential in this combination, and I’m excited to keep building on it.”
Low Country Motorsports co-owner AJ Frank credited the team’s continued success to the collective effort behind the scenes, from the preparation and dedication at the shop to the technical partners and suppliers supporting the program — an effort reflected in the team’s current lead in the CARS Tour Pro Late Model Owners’ Championship.
DeCaire and team will return to CARS Tour Pro Late Model competition on Friday, September 4, at Florence Motor Speedway in Timmonsville, South Carolina. On-track action will be available live on FloRacing.
