Taylor Ferns Named 2026 Shift Up Now Foundation Grantee, Continues as Shift Up Now Athlete

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Sprint Car driver and Team Owner Taylor Ferns has been selected as a 2026 grantee of the Shift Up Now Foundation and will continue her role as an official Shift Up Now athlete for the upcoming season.

The Shift Up Now Foundation provides financial support and development opportunities to talented female racing drivers, helping remove barriers that often prevent women from progressing in motorsport. Through grants and strategic support, the foundation aims to create a more level playing field and increase the number of women competing and succeeding at the highest levels of racing.

Ferns, a veteran competitor across multiple forms of motorsport specifically sprint car racing, has been part of the Shift Up Now athlete lineup and will continue to work alongside the organization in 2026 while also receiving grant support from the foundation.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the continued support from Shift Up Now and the entire team behind the foundation,” said Ferns. “What they do for racers such as myself goes a long way. Their support is a significant reason why—and how—I’m able to continue pursuing my passion in motorsports, both on and off the track.”

Founded to advance female participation and visibility in motorsport, Shift Up Now focuses on supporting drivers through funding, mentorship, and career development while also advocating for greater representation of women throughout the industry.

“At the Shift Up Now Foundation, our goal is to help talented female drivers move forward in their careers by providing the support and opportunities that can make a real difference,” said Marie Watkins, Shift Up Now Foundation Board Member. “Taylor Ferns has consistently demonstrated the skill, professionalism, and perseverance required to compete at a high level in motorsport, and we are proud to continue supporting her journey in 2026.”

As part of the 2026 program, Ferns will carry on with representing Shift Up Now both on-track and through off-track initiatives aimed at inspiring the next generation of racers.

“Being part of an organization that is truly invested in the success of female drivers means a great deal,” Ferns added. “Shift Up Now’s mission to create more opportunities for women in motorsport is incredibly important, and I’m proud to continue working with them.”
