Troy DeCaire Records Strong Top-10 Finish for Taylor Ferns Racing at Race for the Million Debut
Indianapolis, IN — April 15, 2026 — Taylor Ferns Racing delivered an impressive performance in its first on-track outing of the season at the Race for the Million winged pavement sprint car event at Five Flags Speedway, showcasing both speed and potential despite early challenges.
Behind the wheel of the No. 41 BEAST chassis, driver Troy DeCaire took to the track for the first time with the newly prepared car, competing against a strong 38+ car field. In qualifying, the team recorded a 15th-place effort while battling a loose condition that limited overall grip and balance.
Rolling off 14th in the feature, DeCaire wasted no time moving forward, quickly advancing into the top 10 and reaching as high as sixth or seventh in the early stages of the race. However, a developing steering box issue hindered the car’s performance and ultimately forced the team to settle for a ninth-place finish.
Despite the setback, the outing marked a promising debut for the No. 41 program.
“We had a really fast car right out of the box,” said DeCaire. “To roll it out for the first time and be able to move forward like we did is a testament to the hard work put in leading up to this race. It’s unfortunate we had the steering issue, but I’m really happy with the speed we showed and excited for what’s ahead this season.”
The result provides strong momentum for Taylor Ferns Racing as the team continues to build its notebook and refine performance heading into upcoming events.
