TAYLOR FERNS PARTNERS WITH CHICAGO-BASED COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE FIRM, BRADFORD ALLEN, FOR2023 SEASON

Chicago, Illinois (March 8, 2023) — On the heels of the official start to the race season, the Taylor Ferns Racing team formally announces a partnership with Chicago-based commercial real estate firm Bradford Allen (BA). BA will be Ferns’ primary sponsor as she contends for both the United States Auto Club (USAC) Silver Crown and 500 Sprint Car Tour championships this year.

Racing championships are nothing new to Taylor, having won the 2011 USAC D1 Midget Series, becoming only the second female to win a USAC title.

Taylor’s historic motorsports journey is what impresses Bradford Allen principal Jeffrey Bernstein the most: “Taylor is an accomplished racer with immense potential. She has the dedication, instincts, and guts to reach the pinnacle of this sport. Perhaps more importantly, she’s a role model with great character—qualities we value deeply at Bradford Allen. The opportunity to support her on this journey is one we couldn’t be more excited about,” Bernstein said.

With multiple Midget and Sprint Car victories, Taylor is a force to be reckoned with—a strong contender with proven results. Taylor’s passion for motorsports has driven her to become the first and only female to reach the USAC Silver Crown podium. Off track, Ferns brings the same intensity and work ethic to her pursuit of a law degree.

“I am beyond grateful to Jeff, Larry, and the entire Bradford Allen team for coming on board and supporting our efforts to win races and contend for championships this year,” said Ferns. “It takes many dedicated supporters and partners to run competitive race teams. I would not be able to do this without Bradford Allen, my crew chief—Kevin Besecker—and my family. I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, and the way this partnership came together is evidence of that. I am excited to start this journey and look forward to working with Bradford Allen for years to come!”

After taking a hiatus from motorsports to focus on academic pursuits from 2015–2019, and only participating in select races over the past few years, Ferns’ 2023 season—her “Comeback Tour”—will consist of more than 20 races, an endeavor that would not be possible without the backing of Bradford Allen.

About Taylor Ferns

Taylor Ferns, at 27 years old, is an accomplished racecar driver and third-year law student. In her 21-years of competing, she has won numerous races, championships, awards, and set records that do not only pertain to her gender, in a diverse portfolio of racecars, and on varying race surfaces. As a United States Auto Club (USAC) champion, Taylor has made a name for herself within the open-wheel ranks. She’s the youngest female driver to win a Sprint Car race at 14 years old, the first female to win Midget and Sprint Car races at multiple tracks, the second female to ever win a USAC championship, and the first, and only, female to podium in USAC’s 52-year Silver Crown history. The latter record she intends to break by winning.

Over the years, Taylor’s perspective of the motorsport’s world, and her placement in it, has evolved. She now recognizes the power and greater meaning behind being a female in a male-dominated trade. With that, she has made it a personal mission to give back to a sport she is so passionate about by mentoring younger girls interested in racing. Taylor is also an active member of Women in Motorsports North America, regularly takes part in professional speaking engagements, and is a contributing writer for SPEED SPORT.
